OLIVER JONES AND DANIEL CLARKE BOUCHARD
TOGETHER AT THE MAISON SYMPHONIQUE
Montreal, March 4, 2014 – The Montreal International Musical Competition (MIMC) is bringing together 14-year-old pianist Daniel Clarke Bouchard and his mentor, renowned jazz pianist Oliver Jones, for a concert that will see them join forces once again, for the first time on stage at the Maison symphonique de Montréal, on Monday, June 2, at 7:30 pm.
An Exceptional Duo will offer the audience a musical program reflecting the interests of both musicians, who will take turns performing classical and jazz pieces, bringing their two worlds together for a few numbers.
Bassist Éric Lagacé and drummer Jim Doxas, two well-known musicians on the Montreal jazz scene, will also be part of the concert.
